Perfect example of WWE fucking up a nice 6 month story line / angle as fast as possible. They could have really had a hit on their hands if they pulled the other angle of Cody picking Golddust partners for him. You could have started off with Cody picking random people. A referee. A guy from the hot dog stand. A Girl Scout. Just stupid non wrestling characters. Then he would be commanded to only pick wrestlers. Which he would do by picking bullshit wrestlers like Brooklyn Brawler. Or other retired jobbers. Then he could be commanded to only pick active wrestlers which he would do by picking Hornswoggle. A diva. JTG. Etc... Of course now that the wrestling skill has been upped to someone that actually have been in the ring within the last 5 years, there is a chance that the Golddust team might win. Which scares Cody and he starts sabotaging the team behind GoldDusts back by tripping the partner. Distracting them. Holding their feet down when pinned near the ropes, etc... just stuff that Golddust can't see.
Then.... come along with the Stardust angle.
But no.... WWE has to fuck it all up right out of the gate.
