insulin lantus intravenous
« on: June 18, 2014, 08:05:59 AM »
what can happen if I shot insulin lantus(pen) in one vein? I want to use intramuscular but I can't aspire the blood with a insulin pen

where have less veins? legs, biceps or triceps? I never saw a vein in my triceps, so better choice will be in my tricep?

in case my triceps is sore for steroids injections, I still can inject insulin there or is better I choose another place?

I don't started yet

sub the lantus will work 24hours in the body
intramuscular will be less time in the body

are you diabetic? you do not want exogenous insulin working for so long. Ditch the Lantus.

my thoughts ^^^ exactly.

You do realize by being on slin around the clock can make you diabetic.

Are you aware of the constant peaks with lantus? Are you familiar with slin....
Why not humalog, or r? Do you really want peaks for 24 hours

lantus don't have peak if I'm eating a lot of carboidrates
I will not use insulin for months, only for two months before my pre contest

Lantus has slight peaks, just not dramatic. And that's with diabetics. Out of curiosity what would you gain by going with this as opposed to humalog. Ie. If You Shot 10iu Of Lantus It Would Slowly Trickle Into The Blood For A day.... Yet At Such A Small dosage Going Into The Blood Is It Truly Worth it. This similar to spacing out small 2 to 3iu of r or log throughout the day.... which might work at the start. For a novice, yet for high level competition, I'd question.... I've heard of Europeans using lantus, yet at the start of the day and then followed by shots or r throughput the day after. At some points you need a supra physiological dosage to activate the satellite cells, and piggyback the igf1 receptors.... have you ran skin before? Not trying to doubt your ideas, it's just I nor anyone I know has ever ran such a slow slin by itself

only time I've ever had a 'bad' experience with insulin was with iv humulin R

without going into the entire specifics of the night, i'll say Its a bad, bad idea.

Bodybuilders use fast acting slin and do not eat fat for the duration, post injection. Keep this in mind because it is not feasible for you stay away from fats 24 hours a day

Bad idea.  You will be hypoglycemic much of the day.  Also the lantus will be metabolized much faster since it is now iv...you will have unpredictable and unstable results.

the idea is inject the lantus 8:30 AM and eat fat 11:00 PM
if I use intramuscular, the insulin will be less time in the body

just talked with a friend which is experienced with insulin and he said the lantus can be injected normally intramuscular and have no problem if I accidentaly inject in a vein, is very safe

I already have a friend which are using 40UI subcutaneous and he said is like nothing, you only feel better absortion

let me explain something to you about slin.

if the body detects outside interference around the clock you could become a diabetic. A 4 hour period once a day or even 2 times a day does not put you at this risk, which is why bodybuilders to this and use fast acting.

Around the clock is a horrible idea and completely not necessary when doing fast acting slin around your workout has a greater punch and is far more effective with less risk
