As ive said before, the only time its acceptable to ask for a spot is if you're working with 3 plate+ ... if you cant lift that, than you need to just die under the bar like man. Imagine a grown man asking for a spot benching 225.....pffft.

My gf comes with me, I thought the same thing - "anymore than fingertips and I'm as well dying under the bar". Anyway, I was benching (more than 3 plates a side of course) - 6, 7 start to feel arm shaking 8, can get one more rep... 8 and a half,ni... fuck, not happening.
