Predator backstory was implemented more in Predator 2, Predator VS Aliens, Predator VS Aliens 2 and Predators.

If doing a Reboot on the original Predator-movie, he/it still needs to be Mysterious and the movie needs to have more thriller-parts and that Cat and Mouse-feel. Anything about his background would not be needed.

But i do agree that i would like to see a Predator-movie (call it Predator 3), full of character-development, where you see their life on their planet, and grabbing an assignment and then travelling to another planet to hunt wildlife.

Yea, loved the bit in the first avp where the woman and predator make friends and run in the distance together silhouetted, that was so romantic.

They'll reboot a reboot of a reboot. When you think about it they've been doing it for decades, spiderman had movies in the 70's, batman in the 60's.
Gaurantee within the next decade spiderman is recast with someone even more girly than garfield.

It's laughable now. Even Kai's stripping outfits are more original and creative than what the big movie companies can present us with
