If it was such a big deal, then why did he win the Olympia? He should have been penalized, but he wasn't. He's the champ until someone beats him. Plain and simple.
Don't get me started about Jon Jones. All he does is win. The next Gustafsson rematch will be interesting, though. When he wins AGAIN, what will the critics have to say?
If I remember right, the line judge at the O kept stopping and telling phil to get back in line, and he didnt. Its a big deal because it tarnishes his legacy, it shows he wasnt confident enough in himself to win following the rules, that he wasnt good enough to win without stepping further out than the others (even though he was)
No one will care about the win, theyre just going to remember him having to 'cheat' to win.
Just like jones, everyone is going to remember him stabbing everyone in the eyes to blond them to win, regardless of how talented he was.
Every wonder why none of the other Mr Os get so much shit? Or why none of the other UFC champs get so much shit? There is a reason. Phil cant figure out why people give him so much shit yet im sure he thinks his little line stepping stunt was perfectly acceptable. There is a reason none of the other competitor followed him out that far.
Because they have integrity. And thats the other champs will be remembered in a better light than phil.
That goes for anything, people dont like guys that overstep the boundaries to win. Is it right or wrong? Doesnt matter, thats life.
If he doesnt give a shit how hes remembered, then by all means, do whatever it takes to win. But dont be suprised when people despise you, know what I mean?
