Yes!

Exactly the demographic I belong too!

I reverse the orthodox position in a hack, kinda like a whore would do, and place my heels on the edge of the inside part of the platform with toes on the floor. Unlock. Grad the bottom of the back rest and proceed to hit the infamously outlawed "moon" pose 15 or so x.

Voila! Whore 101

Thulsadoom is a terrible poster who has been changing my opinion about him as of late. May be a slightly decent poster.

I think we need the trainer to explain that the hack squat is a sissy machine for fags.

There are too many posters that have Joon potential for me to take them seriously at the moment.

BB SLDL is among the best of all exercises imho.

BB Hack squats, one of my favorite movements for years. And yes, it can be referred to as a reverse DL, without having the knees in the way problem and leaning too far forward (puts extra stress on the lower back and potential injury) for a lot of guys.

Only thing I might differ with, from the guy in the video, is the depth . Might suggest going lower, where the butt touches, or comes very near, the bar. Have also raised heels, on a 2X4, for more direct focus on the quads. Either way, raised heels of flat footed, an excellent quad builder.

His pin suggest was also good. When I'm doing heavier BB Hacks, it will be in a PR with different pin positions, anywhere from 3-4 inches to the top position to mid thigh level. May surprise your self with the amount of weight you can handle with a higher pin position. I almost always include Romanian DL/SLDL's when doing BB Hacks.

Good Luck.

I'm sorry you feel that way "freezedries ejacaculation".

I've had but one interaction with you in my recent posting frenzy and I thought you were handled respectfully and appropriately.  Please tell me what, aside from posting less as I know this is the chief complaint, I can do for you posting wise and I'll consider it.

Now as far as the exercise goes, I have spinal irregularities due to having spinae bifita occulta. Now,  the sbo caused my vertabrae to never develop as they should so I have holes with nerve endings peeking out which make life, let alone heavy weight training pretty difficult pain wise. Now on top of that, the sbo also caused mild scoliosis, and major swoliosis later on lol, and the scoliosis, imo has caused shift in the lumbar. So in all I have the sbo, scoliosis, degenerative disk disease, bulging disks and I train legs anyway. My last training partner has been heavily involved in Texas NPC for two decades. He was in a cycle accident so us being two broke dick ass dudes became very well suited for each other. I train around some pain that would make most quit entirely and mostly without pain management meds unless absolutely unbearable by my standards.

Now, that exercise is completely safe if you have a seasoned connection with your body. Just don't be a moron with the weight and keep in the perfect range for peak stretch and contraction using zero lower back. I don't worry much bout what others think when I'm training, so yeah it prob looks kinda fem when I perform it. Try it light before ya knock it.

As for judging me as a poster, think and say what ya want, bottom line is that I calls em likes I sees em and ain't shit you can do about it.

Love,

TVD210

Tom Platz's knees must be made of titanium.  Insane range of movement here...

Tom did an ISSA seminar i attended here in San Antonio when I first got certified by ISSA when I was maybe 25 or 26 (32 now). I had seen a few vids of him performing insane feats of leg strength and had asked specifically if his rom was of any extra benefit. His response was a resounding absofuckinglutely in regards to tissue stimulation, but went on to describe in detail of how much his joints hated him for it now. Cool that you referenced Tom! His pics in early Flex made BB look like the life to me.

Was never a big fan of Tom's overall physique, but I respected this guy more than most for his training intensity, intelligence and passion he has for BBing.

I was ISSA certified back in 1998.  I had a small business going for a while.  I finally got sick of holding the hand of fatties that didn't have the discipline to follow through and stick to a diet.  I do not have the patience to train people today.  Most people are lazy sacks of cell phone addicted shit.

At our gym they have taken the seat off the HS shrug machine (no one used it sitting down anyway), you can grab the bottom handles and facing outwards do stiff leg deads very easily with a very good range of motion.

I know exactly what you mean! With the high and low grips correct? Seems very likely to hit well. Thanks!

Yes, that is the one.  To be honest, I have never seen anyone EVER use the low grips for anything at all other than these.
