Lyoto looking old now.  I think Weidman hit him so hard this round (RD 3) he dropped ten IQ points.  Hard for Weidman to lose now (barring a freak KO or submission) after winning the first three rounds.

Did someone forget to tell Lyoto this is a fight, he is doing so much running maybe he thinks this is a 400 metre Olympics tryout.

I haven't seen an Asian guy run this much since Musclecenter was asked to submit a drug test at the Mr. Taiwan Natural Bodybuilding contest.

Good round for Machida, but he needs the KO.

Good to see Lyoto overcome his lifelong fear of being hit and decide to actually fight.

About fucking time we get a 5-round war. I give it to Chris.

Chris gets rounds 1, 2 and 3.

Machida 4 and possibly 5.

I think that is the first time I have ever seen Lyoto DECIDE to actually fight instead of this stick and move style.  Sadly, it won't be enough.

After seeing Lyoto's face suddenly I have a craving for hamburger.  :o

I think this is also the first time during a UFC fight a fighter qualified for a running event at the next Olympics.  ;D

Yeah Yeah. Weidman had to lay on Machida to win. Saved by the bell in the 4th and 5th.

Weidman's last 2 fights were gifts along with championship belt. He's going to have to fight this time. Machida win by KO.

Machida has been knocking fools out left and right. Not sure how people complain about him. He used to be a karate point fighter part of the style to avoid big shots.

Lyoto is a runner and Weidman will charge in to Machidas fist.

Are you kidding, Lyoto is a runner, this will be his easiest fight yet.
you are going to eat these words

Yeah Yeah. Weidman had to lay on Machida to win. Saved by the bell in the 4th and 5th.

I think it was a fair win.

Weidman had rounds 1-3 for sure.

Machida came alive during the 4th and 5th and brought work to Weidman.

What I liked about this fight:

~Full 5 rounds

~No premature knockout

~No freak accidents

~Both guys trading

~No one gave up

~Both guys had good stamina

Machida could very well become the gatekeeper at middleweight, kind of like the guy that others must pass in order to get a title shot (the Junior Dos Santos of Middleweight).

Now, I look forward to Weidman versus Vitor, Jacare, Yoel Romero and Rockhold. Once he gets through these 4 other guys, the rest of the middleweights are just sparring partners.

Too little too late. By the time weidman started feeling the effects of the weight and slowed down Lyoto started turning it up and controlling the pace. Lyoto had trouble getting his timing down to intercept chris in the earlier rounds.

Look like the makings of a future gameplan is emerging. Drag chris into deep waters.

Wildman is a big 185. I want to see him fight jones down the road. Machida did good but he waited way too long. He did hurt Chris several times.

I think Chris should stay where he is.

Jon Jones would murder the kid. Jones is taller, faster, stronger and has way better movement, striking arsenal and a barrage of eye gouging techniques.

Weidman had a war with machida, whereas Jones made quick work of Machida and was the first to put him to sleep.

Agreed, I like Weidman but I don't think he is good enough to rule the light heavyweight division.

He has the tools and we have to keep in mind this is the first time he went five. He also had double knee surgery this year and I believe he will continue to improve.

Aside from Jones, we can look at guys like Gustfasson, Cormier and Glover. Those guys are fucking animals.

OneMoreRep, I'm just having fun.

Congrats to Weidman, he proved himself tonight. He noticeably slowed after the 3rd but pulled out the win.

Loyoto gave a great challenge, that made for fight that will be remembered. He had a slow start due to pressure from Weidman and trouble defending the takedowns or he may have won.

Glad I stayed up to watch the main event.
