I think that a lot of what we know about bodybuilding will forever be changed on August 6th.

I think that the OP was serious. This isn't a parody thread!

Indeed I was!

There are a lot of Getbig members with valuable knowledge. It would be nice to have it collected in one thread.

I do come here for entertainment and am rarely disappointed but at the end of the day I am also here to learn whatever I can to improve my physique.

Many valuable things i've taken from bb are the following:

In the grand scheme it doesn't matter.

The primary audience that loves bb are homosexers.

Most women think brad Pitt is huge and he's more than enough.

There's a great chance heavily engaging in BB will take 30 yrs off your life.

If you're in a filled football stadium the only BB fan there is you.

If you want to enjoy BB remain ignorant about it and trust FLEX magazine.

My Real answer: I believe the quality of your nutrition makes a difference. Also the quality and intensity of your training makes a difference.

There are plenty here who disagree with my controversial statements listed above.

I was just chatting on the phone with Adonis, I hope you realize your bright orange wild salmon is no healthier than the white fish in a McFish.

In view of this entertaining thread http://www.getbig.com/boards/index.php?topic=540906.0 we should also have a positive one:

What is some of the stuff you still believe in and served you well in training, nutrition and life?

There is nothing to believe in bodybuilding.

Many reps and many sets and don't fool yourself with excuses. High carbs is a must. This is the only thing that works.

ya I agree w the intensity and quality of training for sure. look at poor borat- sparky the guru clearly said he believes in doing as little as possible in the gym and it certainly shows in 'quality' of borats physique. the dildo pumped him w mgs he didn't need of the wrong anabolics, put him on a weak and lazy training routine and now everyone is asking 'where's the beef?'  lol there ain't no beef cause you gotta create the environment for the anabolics to truly manifest the desired result(s).

as for the quality of nutrition I believe in this too but I can't state I think to create muscle and to lose fat there are good carbs and bad carbs. I think they are all created equal. they have nothing to do with hypertrophy. they are strictly a fuel based nutrient. now do I believe some carbs burn better for performance? absolutely. but to lose fat or gain muscle the 'quality' of the carb is neither here nor there.

I put fats ahead of carbs and protein in the quality argument. I think some fats are better than others. I think all protein just like carbs will be used by your body the same regardless of quality.

btw do I feel better when I eat clean foods? ya man. of course I do. but is feeling better mentally or even physically a key component in creating muscle?

I think that's where the root of the argument lies for me.

cheers sir.

I still believe in:

1. Sticking to the basics: ie- free weights, compound movements-(especially for back)

2. If trying to gain mass at least 1 gram per pound

3. Creatine works

4. Diet is key in all endeavors (bulking, cutting, carb counting sugar counting)

5. Post workout shake

bro, this is the 'all the stuff that works' thread.

the 'shit you've been brainwashed into believing is necessary but isn't' thread is a few pages down.

I trust this was a simple mistake and you'll do the right thing by moving it there post haste.

cheers.
