Flex Lewis and Luke Wood photos from 2009

Taken in Sydney in 2009 at the Fitness Show at Darling Harbour. I am always impressed with great calves. This guy had huge calves but at the time I didn't know who he was.

I was at the Arnold 2 years ago and saw some huge dude at a booth. First thing I saw was these RETARDED calfs and I was like who the hell is this guy? Got closer and recognized it was Flex. Incredible calves.

Luke was off season so I didn't recognize him. He was at a booth in Sydney. He didn't mind posing his calves so I figured he was a bodybuilder. All round big dude.

I am not an expert in hormones but I believe Milos was. Unfortunately, Luke got the dosage wrong and he died from an overdose. I don't endorse taking insulin but I guess the guru's out there use muscleheads as guinea pigs.

Eventually, some information filters down to the other competitors and dangerous protocols and drugs are avoided. Bodybuilding will always have guys who will take risks. I guess that now includes all the top Olympians.

Let me qualify what I said about Milos Sarcev. He seems to know as much about hormones as anyone in the iron game. Whether his knowledge is medically sound I can't say.

He used oil in his arms and that pretty much reveals how desperate bodybuilders can get. Why would a smart guy do that? Well, they take risks hoping to win the Olympia and the money that goes with the title.

Not being up to date on the local scene here in Australia I can't tell you who she is. Luke seemed to be friendly with her. Seemed like a nice gal and she didn't mind posing.

If the muscle in my calf was squashed into a space a couple of inches smaller (aka manlet legs) mine too would be 'bigger'.

If my arms were a couple inches shorter, my biceps too would be 'bigger'

Not hating on Flex as he is twice the size I am, and a good bloke but short guys have an advantage when it comes to getting 'bigger' than tall guys.
