97 was so-so (maybe it was the lighting, or the pics I saw, maybe they were retouched.. I dunno), 98? eh.. 99 was ok for the top 4-5, after that? eh.  :-[

Yes last year was good.
As you say a lot depends on the lighting
& the quality of the photo's.

Over here in the uk a lot of the dry, grainy
type look is in the Men's classic class's
And the 80's 90's & some in 100kg
that look is very rare in the superheavy weight class.

no no.. I meant that was the last year the MrO was impressive. lol.. 1996.

I think dorian looked better in 96 than he did in 97, as well as Nasser. many say Nasser was robbed in the 97 MrO, but I think he looked better in 96, but dorian also looked better in 96... kev was ok, although I thi9nk kev was much better in 95... the rest of the lineup still had that "look" that was common in the 90's as well... until they #1 started testing for diuretics, and #2 started the higher dose gh and adding insulin in larger amounts.

they all looked better that the gran prix's that year.. and the following year.

personally, I think they fucked up the lighting and backdrop/stage colors at the '97 MrO.

I remember seeing a photo of dorian in that pose but camera was angled more side on, I remember being astounded by the thickness of his back, this was back as a little gay bodybuilding mage reading teenage nerd.
