the problem may have been they were screaming the silly fringe stuff louder than the actual stuff that mattered.
"Obama will force every american to pay an extra 500 a month for healthcare, yes you, america" would be WAY more effective and "relate-able" than "Oh, these saul alinsky commi marxist socialist tactics, yes all 3, determined to destroy america and have us all speaking kenyan!".
But the screaming was way louder than the stuff that actually affected people.
Aside from the far out stuff that was never taken seriously by anyone...
Obama has proven to be exactly what conservatives said he was when he first showed up out of nowhere...but most of america was too spellbound by his speeches and drunk with bush-hate and neo-con fatigue to pay attention and really look into it.
They said he was staunchly anti-gun and would push gun control. People laughed and downplayed it and mocked conservatives. But he ended up doing exactly that.
They said he was a true socialist at heart...and he has shown his ideology to be exactly that.
They said he was at his core anti-american, and only putting on a show to get elected...his words and actions in the last years alone have proven this to also be true.
This was a guy who openly hung out with a radical leftist domestic terrorist who literally set off bombs in his own country, and no one cared.
this was a guy who spent 20 years in, and was married by, an openly anti-american black power preacher, and no one cared.
this was a guy whose entire past was so shrouded in secrecy we still dont have basic details, who actually openly had lots of his records sealed, and no one cared.
this is a guy whose wife said she was never proud of her own county- no one cared.
this is a guy whos attorney general called americans cowards-no one cared.
this is a guy who is openly racist and anti-american in terms of policy and who he appoints to top positions...and no one cares.
