WWE Battleground: Who gets it done tonight?
« on: July 20, 2014, 05:12:22 PM »
- Usos (c) vs Harper & Rowan: 2-of-3-falls for WWE tag team titles: I haven't seen this since 1990 (Demolition vs. Hart Foundation, SummerSlam).

I think the Wyatts finally get it.

- Battle Royal for Intercontinental Championship: Sheamus, just to unify the belts and get rid of two secondary titles.

- Chris Jericho vs. Bray Wyatt: Jericho, they owe him after making him job to Fandango at WM 29.

- Jack Swagger vs. Alexander Rusev: Rusev suffers his first loss.....WE THE PEOPLE!!

Edit - Wyatts just won the first fall. Usos got a cheap roll up for the second fall.

My first pick was wrong but WOOOOOW!!!! The Usos and Wyatts absolutely tore it up, with most of the action during the 3rd fall.

Popcorn break: AJ

Fatal 4 way match, WWE World title: Cena....all to set up Heyman's "Plan C": Cena vs. Lesnar, a perfect fit, considering Lesnar's breaking the streak and his loss to Cena two years ago.

Edit - What the heck just happened? Rollins was doing an interview just moments before his match; he gets jumped by Ambrose, who get thrown out by Helmsley; instead, it's time for popcorn.

Rusev and Swagger are on deck. I hope this is as good as the build-up.

Edit - Rusev gets a cheap count-out win, after Swagger hits his head on the post as Rusev tried to escape the Patriot Lock....cheesy!!

Rollins wins by forfeit, only to get jumped again by Ambrose.

Now, it's Jericho and Wyatt. BTW, how did Wyatt get that black eye?

Edit - Jericho with a clean win over Wyatt, after Rowan and Harper get ejected.

Miz WINS THE IC TITLE (after hiding on the floor for the better part of 10 minutes).

Of course, Cena won. Again, it sets up Cena and Lesnar for SummerSlam.

Reigns isn't quite ready. Kane....PLEASE!!! Orton? Unless you have a Reigns-Orton title fight at SummerSlam (with no guarantee of a Reigns win), it makes no sense.

Wyatt got the shiner during a match where Ric Flair popped him with the hand he had his WWE ring on....

I was indifferent with last nights show. Yes Uso's vs Wyatt's stole the show. Battle Royal........when Miz went out and never came back I knew he was going to pop up.....they did this 25 or so yrs ago when I believe Jimmy Hart slid under the ring and came out at the end.

4 way was ok, crowd yelling this is awesome...not sure.

Definitely upset that they canned Ambrose v Rollins

That's just idiotic.

You can't pull a bait and switch, if you expect people to pay money to see your shows going forward.

That was the most anticipated match on the card, and the customers didn't get it

Fine print on all PPVs: "Card Subject to Change"

Plus, I think Rollins messed up his knee last week on RAW, after getting knocked over the top rope or off the ring apron. So, rather than just can the match, they kept having Ambrose jump Rollins throughout the night.

Yeah, I know, but it's still shady.

There seems to be some debate as to whether Rollins was really injured.

So, either he wasn't injured and they canned the match, or they knew he was injured well in advance of the show and still sold the match.
