With that said, I don't have an issue with this program on its face. BUT, the whole reducing suspension thing? That could be a problem. If it's about preventing these boys from acting up, that's fine. But, if it means slaps on the wrists for hoodlums who should get booted, I have a major problem with that.
It's much the same with honors classes. If the black and Latino kids deserve to be in a Honors classes, get them in there (hopefully, they won't get picked on and bullied by their peers as 'acting white').
Don't just stick them there merely for some 'diversity' crap. And don't can the honors program (as one NJ school did, just because there were too many white kids for the PC crowd's liking).
