I think it would be even more ideal if you added 25-30 grams of whey protein to it.

Even better get yourself raw chocolate powder and organic whole milk, warm the milk and mix it with some scoops of the chocolate powder drink it down and watch your muscles grow.

If it's early in the day... I don't think that it's too excessive.

I wouldn't drink that at night though

I like to top off my glycogen stores at all times to be ready for long-range travel by foot on an uncertain energy budget.

I buy a brand of chocolate milk in Aldi, that only had 50g of sugar per 300ml - I put it in my shaker cup and add 2 raw eggs which makes it roughly:

50g Carbs
35g Protein
20g Fat

That's not a bad ratio, but when I add a double snickers and 2 cans of stella afterwards its pretty fucking pointless

A grueling 60 minutes of sporadic weight lifting followed by a brisk walk on the treadmill will have burned through the equivalent of maybe a small bread stick and left this athlete massively glycogen depleted.

Besides, consuming simple sugars in his post workouts shake will maximize the anabolic window as the insulin spike pushes vital nutrients into every desperately needy muscle fiber

Yes good common sense advice great for a natural athlete.

Even greater gains can be acquired by trying to "rip the bar in half" when bench pressing and  keeping the pinkies "pointed up to the ceiling" on lateral raises.

Do honestly think that consuming 700 Calories post workout at 8AM is excessive for somebody who is young and training heavy?

You're ignoring the important fact that this athlete is consuming those simple carbs early in the morning - when the suns rays reflecting off the dewdrops will transform them muscle tissue

Obviously any carbs consumed after a strict 12 noon deadline immediately turn to fat.

Mawse is demonstrating a mastery of post-workout nutrition here, I would not do battle with him on this front.

I'm not talking about bodybuilding competitors or those who are dieting, trying to get leaner

Im talking about average dude's there are trying to get big & strong, that's train heavy and work full-time jobs
