Prime meat
« on: July 23, 2014, 01:55:22 AM »
Just got back from the butcher with 15 lbs of handpicked t bone freshly sacrificed from a calf. Pays off to have the meat shop sponsor Radu with red meAt and chicken. I paid 35$ for all this. Maybe living in Romania has it's benefits huh?  ;D

That's easily $100 worth of Tbones here in Cali.

If "Grass Fed blahblah" double that at least.

Just checked, and no. I would pay about $100 for that -- but here the average wage is 5x that of Romania. So you are overpaying.

If it makes you happy you can keep on thinking that. Doesn't make it true, but don't let that stop you.

Definitely a very good price for some quality meat. Here in England you would get a fraction of that for the same amount.

In a high end supermarket like Waitrose, you would pay £22 (about $35) just for 4-5 small steaks lol.

That's the last time i'm buying a Big Issue off Sev's mum - she probably wires him £100 a day for steaks, while i'm eating ground beef and brocolli  ;D
