End of the day that poor turtle is gone and nothing will ever bring him back.

But i'll be damned if that poor things life was in vain and that video doesn't at the very least lead to many many more poor or injured or sick turtles being saved in the future through good work, specifically in state of Florida where this turtle died.

I'll be in touch with these organizations & will be making donations, if you also care and feel the same sense of injustice donate and support their work so this turtles life was not in vain and some positive can come out of it.

Exactly. It takes a different type of person to do this , the tortoise has no idea why or what he did to deserve such pain , he was just trying to survive and feed himself all while being massively disadvantaged in the food chain. His last moments must have sucked.

Not the same thing, and the times I have swatted something like a moth or fly it was when they were flying around my head in my room at night. Certainly not for fun, and their deaths were swift. This poor beasts death was prolonged and the girls took pleasure in the animal's pain; sadism at its finest.

Generally though, I try to not kill insects. I quite like spiders and let them live happily in my home. Provided they aren't tarantula-sized.
