The president today on an interview on CNBC mentioned that he thought that companies should be "economic patriots" and pay more in taxes by staying headquartered in the US.

I have said this many times as have many others. The leaders of this country need to start thinking like business people and less like ideologues.

Usually, those that think like business people are smart enough to make 10x the money staying in the private sector.

It's those that wish not to get rich, but to dictate living choices and public policy to others, that seek public office. 

Govt is packed with zealots and ideologues that get their high by controlling the lives of others and soaking up praise and applause while doing so - most in the business world just want to get a paycheck and stay anonymous, retiring with their $ at 50 and enjoying the good life.   You see Pelosi, worth hundreds of millions, still dealing with paperwork at 70 years old lol... it's about ideology for her.  Changing the country as she sees fit, reveling in the power of it all.

Corporations have a duty to their shareholders...they do not have a duty to the government.  Therefore...anyone who thinks a corporation should feel compelled to place the interests of a government over the interests of their shareholders is a putz.
