There's a Thai that delivers to mine, we're quite fond off when my girl is around.

An xxl peperonni pizza with a coke and ice is hard to beat though. I'm planning it as my cheat meal this weekend as a matter of fact.

Yes great thread!

For me the takeaway of choice is a huge pepperoni pizza, garlic sauce and some peroni  8)

There's an italian pizzeria at the bottom of our road, and it has an open kitchen - loads of spiks swinging dough about so you know it's legit lol - but TAKE AWAY PRICES boom.

Alternate chinese and pizza.
always order the same, either mixed meat in blackbean sauce with crispy noodles and a carton of spring rolls, wantons, spare ribs and salt and chilli pepper chicken wings on the side from chinese or pepperoni pizza with extra pepparoni and a double cheeseburger from the pi,zza place.

If I get to choose ingredients on a pizza, i.e. in a restaurant situation i'll choose

Anchovies
Black Olives
Capers

Drizzle that fucker in sea salt and olive oil and were good to go!

All this pizza talk reminds me of this trip to Venice I did last year, my face ballooned up and it was only a long weekend. I had nothing but Pizza, more Pizza, Pasta and Ice creams for desert for 4 days straight  8)

I was in a non-training and no gear phase...lets just say I looked like shit lol

Chinese is my favourite in the UK...

I remember being in Ibiza and we hooked up with this other couple. So there we were in Spain, at a Chinese restaurant and the other guy looked at me and said "not the same as English Chinese is it?"

And it has to be said - you just can't get a proper Chinky elsewhere in the world. Even in China.

I do like Fish & Chips - but the taste rarely meets the expectations generated by the smell - plus, there's very few real English Chippies any more - you know, the one's run by bubbles. Round my way it's all gone South Asian.. sad

Loved the Pizza in Venice - even the shitty little restaurant/bar places did good pizza lol.

On the final night we ate at the 'best restaurant in venice'  ::) paid a stupid amount for shitty little courses and after we left I grabbed a pizza on the way home  ;D

Mrs likes Tikka Masala
I prefer a nice Pizza or chinese

I started a thread a while back on the quality of takeaways.
TBH, all takeaways are basically the same.

Cue the "theres a good one near me" replies.   ;D

I did find the restaurants were a bit pricey, what I would consider mid-range venues were charging top end London prices.

I will never forget one night we kept walking and walking and got lost, we grabbed some ice cream, then stumbled across a restaurant in an isolated street. The Italian owner was a loud drunk but very charismatic, he made the best Bolognese I had ever tasted.

When I went to Brugge in Belgium, I became fond of the Belgian stew which is packed with tender beef chunks, red wine and gravy like sauce and served with lots of fries and Belgian beer, every night I weighed myself I was a couple of pounds heavier than the day before.

Reminds me of a trip to Cambodia.

I only went there on a 2 day trip to go to the Thai Embassy to renew my visa. Same thing in Tokyo is a 1 day turnaround, so I didn't need to stay long.

I said "I'll be back tomorrow to pick it up" - and they told me it'd be 7 days.

Resigned to spend 7 days on my own in Phnom Penh, I headed out later for dinner and saw a restaurant just down from the FCC called "The Happy Herb Pizza Restaurant".

4 hours later, I'm sitting in Heart of Darkness staring at the lights behind the bar wondering just how fucked up I'm going to get after eating all that weed. Thank heavens for that charitable young Vietnamese girl that offered to escort me back to my hotel.

Cut a long story short - I ate pizza for dinner 7 days straight... I literally felt greasy on the way home.

Yes - they put weed on top. Although this was 11 years ago and they may have clamped down.

They do it even if you don't ask for it. I always wonder what would happen if a family wandered in there but I guess they size you up when you order. I am sure you could ask for it specifically.

In my case, it appears they sized me up and decided I wanted to go into a coma.

Holy crap that's a lot of weed...not only that when ingested weed is soo much stronger, anyone can end up having a very bad trip on it.

bastards :(

Usually pizza for us, followed by a tub of ice cream

Indian food here in the US is shite compared to the UK despite the huge number of Indians in the bay area.. the only thing they do right is tandoori chicken.

Not only that - it's a lot of pizza too.

Towards the end of the week, I felt like asking for less pizza with my weed.

No I disagree. I have not had pizza in over a year here because I don't think there are any good pizza places where I live. I loved pizza when I lived in Melbourne. But up here, it's not up to my standard.
