If you want to be left alone to train however in the gym I would suggest making your muscles larger and increasing your strength a lot.    It's always worked for me.

I can honestly say it's been many years since anyone has even asked me if I'm done with something or how many sets I have left.
This. Plus have a certain look in your eyes when you train, nobody will come near you. ;D

This is a small person problem.

I occasionally see theses types bickering over an incline bench and I snicker, as I lounge in my incline bench, listening to music..texting , occasionally doing a set  ;D

We only have two gyms in the area, the one has limited hours, and the one i go to which is open 24 hrs a day. We only have two straight bars, one at the squat rack, and one at the bench. I use which ever is available.

Only two straight bars in what kind of shit hole do you train man get to a real gym that is fully equipped, even if you have to drive for a bit to get there its worth it.

The Trainer, if you were in the gym, I would surely listen to your commands. If you wanted me out of the squat rack, Id be a fool to disobey your commands. With a name like "The Trainer" Id be shitting myself when you walked in the gym.

I do deadlifts in front of squat rack, deal with it.  I'll never take advice from someone who says deads are useless for a bodybuilder.
So do I. Funny when some 118# twink is squatting a quarter each side and I'm behind him in the mirror deadlifting a loaded barbell.  :D

But if he was squatting you would have to wait, I would have just said to you "Imagine Im squatting, now fuck off"

This was pretty funny but the trainer is right.

I said that deadlifts from blocks are useless. Bodybuilders look for maximum contraction and flexion so they should even perform deadlifts ON blocks not FROM blocks to extend the range of motion.

Coach I use huge "crossfit" plates as blocks.

No you would not, when you see a big hulking gym rat with a mean look on his face comes over to you and tell you in a deep voice to move cause he wants to squat, you move fast or I will move you.

Are you a fan of gh15? He created the term gym rat.

The squat rack is not for doing curls or dumbbell press, I had to chase away a twink today why dont lifters get it that if you are not squatting say away from the squat rack.

Luckly i have a squat rack and a cage in my gym so it is very rare that both are occupied. Or i can warm up a bit while i wait.

I hate the person who does 8 sets in the leg extension machine (you name the machine) using light weights with 5 minute rests between sets sitting in the machine.

Or they throw their towel on it (occupied!) and walk away for a long talk.
Well, I can go on about good manners forever, but it won't change a damn thing...

I once owned a fat bitch over the leg extension she had her towel on the machine while she was chatting to another girl on the other of the gym, so I took off the towel and started using it, she came over saying hey I am using that,
I told her this is not your home gym dont put your towel if you are not working out, the gym is a place for people who are serious about getting in shape.

This.  and if I was on the leg extension machine, and you came at me correctly....I would gladly let you use it.

I laugh  at people that sit there and stew in the anger, and don't open their mouths and solve the problem.  do you think you're going to get into a fight or something ?   ::)
