Shawn was the first one that I know of that put out a great training video.   The ones before him showed champs demonstrating exercises.  Who wants to pay for that.  The other tapes that I saw prior to Shawn Ray showed champs cheating and doing half reps to handle poundages they could never use for real.  Shawn form was quite good but not perfect.  Who is?  He lifted some respectable weights and he let you see that he is a hard core trainer.  I remember on the tape his rock bottom 500lbs squats on the forth set.  I know 30 guys will say they can squat 500 for reps but how deep do you really go? A legal power lifting squat is a half squat in my book and most bodybuilders don't even go that deep.  On the tape he uses 315 in the bench after doing inclines and flys.  I don't know about you but after doing 4 sets of flys  my bench is extremely weak.

He is bodybuilding royalty but I'm sure had he competed in other contest besides the Olympia things might have been different.  He won two Arnold Classics (I'll even give him the one had had taken from him) and then all his Olympia placings. He has one of the best physiques of all time in my opinion but hell, if you do one show a year you better.

100% agreed Wiggs....Shawn lost some contests due to politics..he wasn't well liked in the sport because he was a pretty boy and a big mouth plus had a very nice contract with Weider....guys were really jealous of him...plus he had lots of vagina....

Yeah, I'm just stirring the pot, of course.  However it is hypocritical to play the religion card all the time, then earn money off an event shrouded in the very evils you criticize.

Shawn, since you've said steroids are a sin, will you be prohibiting athletes at the Colorado Pro from using steroids?
Or does the cross only count when the wallet is not in play?
