I'd take old Lobs or new Lobs from a looks perspective, both were nice just different. Her wit and introspectivness are why I'm surprised that she doesn't stay getting hit on.

I'm flattered.
Here is the thing though, and I'm just being straight up:
On a message board, being not-an-airhead and sort of self-aware are cool.
Professionally, being not-an-airhead and sort of self-aware are required.
As a friend and non-sexual companion, being not-an-airhead and sort of self-aware are valuable qualities, because who wants to confide in or trust someone with the IQ of a coffee mug?

But when it comes to attraction...I'm also probably doing a whole host of other things wrong, but the feedback I've gotten (from male friends, by the way, not exes or guys I date) is that I need to be more docile and never expect anything from dudes if I want them to like me. ANYTHING. I asked a dude if he wanted to grab a burger after the gym once. I have been told this was "too aggressive." Unfortunately that is me and I'm not into sitting around and waiting for things. You know, wish in one hand and shit in the other - see which one fills faster.

I don't know, it will either work itself out or it won't, so I have to focus on keeping me happy in the meantime.

I have the feeling you go all out for a guy you like, do everything for him, then resent him and leave him.

You - a dominating part of you - want them to then. It is reinforcing some truth you feel about yourself and has become part of your identity. You are the girl that always gets dumped and if a guy kept sticking around, you'd be forced to get rid of him in the end.

Sorry, it was meant to denote that I was sitting in my living room laughing audibly, while mumbling "not really bro," but instead typing "lol. NOPE."

Ok. Then why do you think you keep getting dumped? You must have an inkling. Do you get desperate and needy? Overly aggressive and assertive?

Or are you just another person looking to get hurt -like the gambler that is always looking to lose - and not even aware of it?

I think that being really straightforward makes dudes feel pressured to decide what they want and don't want from a female, and given the option of being honest or just checking out, guys prefer to check out.
Like if a guy can say "hey, I don't think this is going to work" or just not return a girl's calls, they're not returning calls.
If a guy can say "I like you, but I don't want a girlfriend right now," or avoid you, they're doing the latter.
Even if they freaking like you, given the option of saying "yeah, I really like you" or coming over and hoping you'll be down to bang because, hey, I showed up, so obviously I like you enough to keep you around for now, I don't have to say it. Plus if this doesn't work out, whatever, I wasn't trying to date that crazy ho anyway... guys will pick the latter. Modern men are TERRIFIED of making direct concrete statements about ANYTHING. FUCK THAT.

That doesn't answer your question though.

When anyone gets dumped, it's because their partner didn't think they were worth the trouble, no? When someone thinks I am, it'll work out, simple as that. I'm not mad about it.

you'd prolly have both if you didnt take advise from pansys.

if thats your personality (aggressive) and a guy finds it offputting, then its just as well you didnt waste any time w him anyway. look at your approach as a way of weeding out the weak, rather than an impariment in finding someone suitable.

I guess. What I've done instead is run from your gender entirely, since I'd rather not be viewed as an aggressor
