Las Vegas vs. NYC nightclubs. Which is better?

I was talking to some guys from NYC in Vegas about the clubs. Although they raved about the Vegas clubs they claim NYC clubs are way better. I've never been to NYC clubs. Anyone that's been to both which do you think is better?

It really depends on your scene. NY has a wider variety from the grunge crowd, Latin clubs in wash heights and the bronx to the really upscale private lounge type spots. Vegas is more touristy but funner IMO. The city is built for adult night life, chicks fly in from everywhere for the sole purpose of getting smashed
