HAHAHA. Wasn't The "ULTIMATE WARRIOR" LMAO like 4'11''? He could 69 Lee Priest in Brokeback Mountain II.

Nahh.  I saw the Warrior (Jim Helwig) at the Austin Gym in Dallas in the early 90's.  I didn't even know it was him until my buddy told me after he left.

I'm 6'1" and Jim was at least as tall as me.

Actually back then he was very popular.  No introduction was neccessary.  This is us in Miami with Mike Kozlowski of the Miami Dolphins.  There were a couple of other Dolphins to on the show can't remember there names right now.

no one comes close to Hulk Hogan.

there have been other breif flashes in the pan, like Austin and Warrior, but none can compete the Hulkster.

Hogan had the longetivity that neither austin nor warrior could come close to.

although I think in terms of shear ability, no one has been better than 2002 Kurt Angle.

Fuck Superfly Snuka. He allegedly murdered his girlfriend around 1985. There never was enough evidence to indict him. He said she fell and hit her head on a guard rail while taking a leak on the side of the highway. He had a history beating her up. He also was one of the only jerk wrestlers I ever met and I knew all of the WWF wrestlers from about 1981 to 1986.

Wrong................... .......the girl died of a drug overdose in his room, he was connected, but like you said not enough evidence to convict him, however it was that event that kept him from getting the "strap".

Dynamite WAS a legitimate “shooter.” He learned the trade in Wigan, England from the likes of Ted Betley, Billy Chambers and a few painful sessions at Rileys Gym (better known as “The Snake Pit.”)

Some other legitimately skilled grapplers-turned pro wrestlers to come out of Wigan are Billy Robinson and Karl Gotch, who trained the Malenko brothers, and later became a head trainer at the New Japan Pro Wrestling dojo.

Dynamite was a huge success in Japan. His series of matches with the original Tiger Mask are still considered classics, even by today’s standards. If you enjoy pro wrestling, it’s worth trying to track down that footage.

Hey Karl...did your dad wrestle in St. Louis?  Wrestling at the Chase.

I used to see Dick Murdoch, Harley Race, Ric Flair, Dick the Bruiser, Pat O'Connor..etc all the time.  My dad worked close by and we would see them walking around town.

Pretty cool pics here.

In order....
3.  Masato Tanaka
2.  New Jack
1.  Chris Benoit

Chris Benoit and Kevin Sullivan had the best matches in wrestling history.  I remember walking out of the shitter at the United Center in Chicago and seeing Sullivan throwing Benoit in the bathroom by the hair.  I could barely hold on to the nachos I had.

'Canada's best athlete', Gene Kiniski, said he could defeat anyone at their sport but they had to wrestle him first!

I always enjoyed showmen. So, 'Mr Wonderful' Paul Orndorf was a hero. Big Pappa Pump carried on that tradition.

Who can forget "Helloooo, Ladies!" by Val Venus!

Paul Mercurio did well against big guys.

I disliked the bs artists like Paul Hogan who wasted too much time in the interviews. Nature Boy Ric Flair should retire before he embarrasses himself too much.

George 'The Animal' Steele was funny to look at and watch biting the turnbuckle padding. Ditto for Mr Fuji with his interviews.

I would have paid to see our own Melvin 'Venom Vince Versace' Goodrum wrestle. If he was as good in the ring as he was stirring the crowd when seated in the audience it would have been a hoot.

Yes, Hogan’s abilities didn’t really transcend the parameters of the interview. He had a great gimmick that went down well with the fans, though. And I suppose the fact that he put a lot of asses in a lot of seats for a lot of years makes him a good wrestler in that regard.

Kox,
I know that Murdoch used to own a bar called Dick's Dive.
Did any of his friends or colleagues take it over after he passed?
