For me, the trap bar

I use it for deads, overhead press, shrugs and bent-over rows.

I liked it for deadlifts as a teenager.

Now I use straight bar for everything.

Favorite non-standard huh? I like climbing ropes. Builds great grip strength, biceps and lats.  And it gets your adrenaline going.  When your 12 feet in the air you're like, "I can't f this up" hahaha

Ha, I've seen a couple of people fall off the 30 ft ropes when doing climbs. The results weren't pretty.

yeah usually people who don't know how to climb a rope, muscle up all the way to the top, then don't realize it takes just as much to come back down. Usually their grip falls out.  People who know how to leg lock it very rarely fall.

Yeah, Its all about gripping with the knees and getting your knees high for nice big shifts.

Saw a photo of an MMA dude climbing a 22 ft rope arms only with a 24kg chain attached to him, which is pretty impressive.

I no longer have the need to work out due to the muscular development I have achieved.
