exactly,if u look at lones facial expressions in the 4th n 5th rds he had the look of what the fuck is going on here,im jon jones n this guy aint following the script n tapping out,oh shit what am i gonna do. jones told dana straight up he doesnt want to fight gustavsenn again,the ufc basiclly had to threaten to vacate his belt if he refused to fight him,what kind of champion is that?i could understand if he knocked out gustavsenn in the 5th then i can understand his argument,but that fight was a draw at best for jones imo,and in most peoples opinion,did u see jones reaction when they announced him the winner,he had this huge relieved look on his face with alittle bit of suprise also,he knows he was in a real fight n doesnt want to feel that again,he wants the washed up bums of the 205 class

It's not like he is going to jump over the cage and run out of there once things get tough.

The man did what he had to do to finish the fight.

My point is he has never really had to face a situation like that where he endured some significant damage.

I don't think he is looking to get back in there and have tough battles like that.

And it's not a "hate" issue. There are tons of other figthers I never really cared for who had hearts of a lion in the ring or cage.

I could be wrong. This will likely be his 2nd real test so far. Followed by a potential third with Gus/Rematch with Cormier at some point in the near future.

It will be interesting to see how it all unfolds from a mental perspective from Jones....especially if Cormier beats him.

I actually watched the fight tonight.  It was a pretty even first round in which they both stood and traded blow.  Cormier didn't even attempt a takedown.  Barnett is no slouch and Cormier beat him on the feet.  The fight turned though in the second and Cormier scored a a takedown followed by some pretty nasty ground and pound that left Josh Barnett a blood mess by the end of the round.  Barnett, to his credit,soldiered on and was almost knock out in the 4th but hung in there gamely.  I was surprised it went five rounds, it was a tough fight and Barnett looked massacred by the end of it.
