Romo goes 19/31 for 293 yards 2 TDS 0 INTS with a 114 QB rating.

Pretty solid day for a guy who was sacked 6 times and pressured all afternoon.

Cowboys come from behind to win!

Everyone will play up the "controversial" call LOL.  Lets not forget that the refs gave the Lions a cakewalk in the first half in terms of penalties.  Plus that call wasnt pivotal...it was one random play.

Lions were excellent first half and Suy played the entire game....remember the NFL allowed him to play after his appeal which they shouldnt have.....a controversial call favoring the Lions.  Oh but nevermind that right?

Romo was terrible today and they scraped together a "W".  That wont happen in GB.  Cowboys must dominate like they did in December and then some to stand a chance.  And if they pass that test they still have Seattle.

This whole Jerry is buying a Superbowl is nonsense.  Why didnt he buy it during the last three 8-8 seasons?   ;D  Or the last 20 years??   ::)

Absolutely possible.  If they play like today it will probably be 27 or 37 they lose by.

The Cowboys could also beat the pack by 30 if they play like they proved they can.

Any given Sunday.

It was a huge turning point in the game.

I have never seen the refs pick up a flag before, after they already announced the penalty to the world.

Very unprofessional, and very easily could have cost the Lions points.

I can't stand Tony Romo.   more than ever now.

VP of officiating spends some party time in the DAL party bus.  Then a crucial flag against DAL is picked up. Ya just cannot allow these kinds of coincidences.  When calls can go either way, is the silence about the BJ the ref may have received in the VIP bathroom of the party bus coming into play?   Who knows...

I gotta disagree with "terrible"

A few off throws yeah but at the end of the day he played turnover free football, 111 QB rating in a playoff game where he was sacked 6 times.

Win or lose everyone hates the Cowboys LOL...that wont change.

Of course Detroit is outraged...their team lost!  They'll pick apart the "picked up flag" from now until forever and hang the game on it.  Way of the world.  Theyll hate the Cowboys for it although they had nothing to do with it LOL.

No one criticizes the 3 blown ref calls in the first half that potentially cost the Cowboys points.  ::)  Despite the fact the Cowboys played like garbage in the first half like the Lions did overall in the second.

Suh cheated against GB and AGAIN hurt another player and was fined and suspended as he shouldve been and then had the decision reversed.  Where's the outrage over that?

With all due respect, were you drunk or watching a different game?  How could you say that wasn't a pivotal play?  Lions were driving with the lead and that would have been a first down....AND Dallas scored the go ahead when they got the ball.

If the Cowboys can fix outcomes why didnt they do that in the last three pathetic 8-8 seasons or the last 20 years for that matter?

Referee Pete Morelli: Penalty not warranted

ARLINGTON, Texas -- As the Dallas Cowboys celebrated their 24-20 wild-card win Sunday, the Detroit Lions left with questions.

With 8:25 left in the game, Cowboys rookie linebacker Anthony Hitchens was initially flagged for pass interference while defending Lions tight end Brandon Pettigrew on a third-and-1 pass from the Dallas 46.
Referee Pete Morelli announced the penalty, which would have given the Lions a first down, but moments later changed the call to no penalty. The Lions lined up on fourth down but their attempt to draw the Cowboys offside failed and they eventually punted.

The Cowboys scored the game-winning points on their next drive.

"The back judge threw his flag for defensive pass interference," Morelli said in a pool report. "We got other information from another official from a different angle that thought the contact was minimal and didn't warrant pass interference. He thought it was face guarding."

Face guarding is a penalty in college football, but not at the pro level. Back judge Lee Dyer threw the flag on Hitchens from the far side of the field. Head linesman Jerry Bergman offered the different -- and ultimately deciding -- view.

Morelli said he should have waited before making the initial announcement.

"The information came and then the officials got together a little bit later after it was given to me, the first information," Morelli said. "It probably would've been smoother if we got together."

You're better than this.  Watch how it plays out.   There were two things wrong:  the call, and the fact that they picked up the flag with no explanation.

I don't care about either team, but fans of Detroit have a right to be livid.
