I lost $220 on that play because we had bet the over.  Pissed that I saw it.

My buddy who was watching it was on the phone with me and said the exact same thing while it was in discussion - he didn't think it was irrefutable either.

One question - why didn't Dallas do a quick sneak to avoid the challenge?

That's exactly what I was thinking as I seen that unfold live.

"Dallas needs to get down there quick and snap the ball because this could go against them"

Some guys on the radio today were saying the time crew took almost 30 seconds off the clock with that play but I don't know if that's true or not.

They got screwed on that call.  But if you're saying the same thing as my friend, Dallas could've helped themselves with a quick snap.

By the rule it wasn't a catch but a lot of blame should be on Bryant.  If he tried to secure it on the way down Dallas would have had 1st and goal on 1.  Instead he reached for the endzone while trying to land and bobbled it and the ball hit the ground.  by rule he had to have it secure before hitting the ground and instead didn't.

No one got screwed over.

Also one thing I hate about Instant Replays is the ability to play things in slow motion.  Replays should be played at real time speed.  If after watching it at real time speed over and over and not being able to judge correctly then the play should stand as called.

I don't fault Bryant for trying to score.  It's near the end of the game, you're that close, you don't know what'll happen on the next play; in that situation trying to score is the right move to me.

If you want to criticize someone I would say ding Romo for going for a low-percentage bomb on 4th-and-2 with the game on the line and still time left to keep driving.  Ballsy but not the safest move.

I like Romo though.  He gets too much criticism.  Even before this year, name five better QBs.  He's pretty good.

Cowherd said the first time Cris Carter caught a pass one-handed, the ref called it out, because he'd never seen someone at that talent/caliber do it one-handed.   And that odell beckhamm will get screwed at some point because he's too talented.

I hate DAL, I think Dez is a mom-beating punk... but I also think he had clear posessions, was obviously controlling that pass with 1 hand, and was lunging.  They got screwed, but the NFL was looking to screw them back for last week, so I get it.

After watching that gif, not sure how the refs call that a fumble.  The guy has catcher's mitts for hands and had that ball under control.  It wasn't bobbled or anything.  legit catch and he did take 3 steps before lunging.  Very odd call by the refs on that.  I've seen numerous catches were the guy barely takes two steps and the ball pops out and they call it a fumble.  I guess the NFL wants GB in the superbowl instead of Dallas.
