to b honest i never understood their logic behind burning down their own neighborhoods n stores n houses ???when i was little,back in 68 or so there where riots going on not far from my home in newark,new jersey. the people rioting started burning their own shit up,stores/houses/buses ect, id figure maybe they would go n burn down other neighborhoods,not their own

It's not their businesses they're burning. Most of these people are wards of the state. This is a way to try and get more from the government.

i didnt know that,my bad. when i was growing up in jersey during the riots i remember the black community was burning down black owned barber shops, black owned corner stores, houses in their own community ect. they where trying to get under the penn station bridge by market st but the national guard/state police and even army where there to greet them n push them back up towards springfeild ave. people died
