“The Expendables 3” is living up to its title.

Lionsgate’s actioner flopped on Friday with a franchise-worst debut of $5.9 million. It’s estimated to earn $15.3 million by Sunday, which would be the lowest opening in the series.

The pizza-loving reptiles of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” earned enough dough to hold down the top spot in the domestic box office for the second weekend in a row.

It won't lose money....there's a lot of great movies out right now like Guardians of the Galaxy and the TMNT.  It will still be profitable and they are already moving to Expendables 4

we don't want EXPENDABLES to be a pg-13 stupid movie, it should be a rated R. if they do make E4 then they should get violent like sly did in rambo.

Vince, It flopped at the box office, meaning no interest. who said anything about profit.... but since you went there I think it will lose unless it makes alot of money in Foreign sales.

Sly spoke about expendables 4 and a female cast " The expendabelles" before the movie was released and before it was online 1 month before opening.

If a expendables 4 does come to fruition it will be sly, statham and one more guy, this shit with 20 aging fucks is pathetic.

It will make all its money from overseas / international markets..
The previous 2 did the same..
Tanked in America..
Made a lot of money in other markets..
It's all about the $$$

lets do a estimation  US box office  $32M                            
Foreign (where piracy is massive) $60M
They said the movie was budgeted at 90M, it looked cheap as fuck.

movies need to make 2 times what it cost..atleast

Poor Sly, Rocky 1 cost 900,000 and pulled in 150M
