The actor placed 3rd at the Mr. Universe in 1953. 23 years old. I just learned of this, pretty interesting. The level of competition wasn't exactly high.

True but SC has the true ownage. World famous movie-star, gigantic Bank account, ect, so BP won the show, SC won overall. Not saying Mr. Pearl hasn't & doesn't have a great life, but I it pales in comparrison to SC.

Even his IMDB biography repeats the myth of a third place win at the Mr. Universe. I think I shall have to change it.

Steve Reeves was asked to star as the first 'James Bond' in "Dr. No" in 1962 which he turned down.
Steve reeves was paid $250,000 a film at the height of his fame, making him the highest paid actor in european films and for the James Bond film he wasnt get that paid.

IMDB is not the bible. I was so disgusted with those people there. I gave up. For the longest time they had my appearance on General Hospital in 1963. I wrote and called and emailed them it was in 1988 and it took them 4 years to change it then it got taken off. Same with my Knotts Landing nothing. They don't list commercials which is too bad since that is what I did.
