I've tried them but I'm not a fan of supinated grips because of my wrists. Almost 100% of my bicep work is with dumbbells, sometimes combined with bands.

Ben pakulski confirms what I say here
For you guys that only listen to pros.

Watch from 1.49

The more supine the hand position is the more bicep muscle fibres are hit the ez bar doesn't allow the the hands to be spinated optimally, which again is why I stress for me it hits the outer bicep head and brachialis
choice is an illusion

My bad, I thought the thread was dead. I see that you mentioned spider curls, I think we talked about them before. I feel the movement with both straight and EZ curl bar. I would do them close gripped.

Years ago, I had effed up my wrists using a straight bar, then got a EZ curl bar at home to work with. Far better. A few years back I got a straight bar---to work with on days I do not go to the gym and to relieve stress.
Pretty good feeling. I sold the straight bar and the weights that came with it.

My original question was actually due to seeing those super curled EZ curl bars at Dicks and Walmart, and who buys them. Because the only EZ curl bars that I have seen people use are the medium curled ones.

A little bit. Back then. At the gym and at home I prefer the straight bar. Easier to do wrist curls as well. I prefer EZ curl for doing tricep extensions, which you can do superset bis with. The problem at my gym is that the straight bars with the weight you want are either misplaced, or used...and only go up to 60-65. The
EZ curl bars then take over...if you can find the weight.
I had learned to do wrist curls so that my forearms will keep up with the straight bar weight.

Originally had a straight bar, effed up wrists due to the straight bar. Got EZ curl bar, it was good curling weight, but decided to go to straight bar again. Liked it, but sold the bar and weights. Saw EZ curl bars with extreme bends and wondered who buys those.

Understand now?

Where he speaks on the ez curl bar
He uploaded this today by the way so I didn't go looking for a vid to discredit the ez curl bar
another bro scientist who thinks rotating a dumbel around the axis of your forearm equals supinating the bicep versus resistance

what a load of crap

they would need a bicep machine that offers resistance around the axis of the forearm so supinating it actually does something significant

twirling around dumbels is laughable

I have never seen anybody use those extreme bend EZ curl bars, except one hood dude on YouTube who was using an all black old school one---curling for his girlfriend.

The super curly ones are just barbell hammer curls.

The super curly ones typically don't have knurling on the inside bends or curls, where most people place their hands for skull crushers. Also, the extreme curl makes it awkward---to me, (I picked one up in the store to do a tricep extension) for anybody doing tricep work. I think the best compromise for tricep work is the bar with medium bends.
