Correct. By posting in the useless threads we all serve but to perpetuate the nonsense that is posted. We are essentially keeping it on life support by pointing out the stupidity behind it, but inadvertently bumping it to the top.

The problem is that sometimes the person that starts the threads will support themselves by having one of their gimmicks post in it as a collaborating player.

That's another level of crazy that I tend to see every so often.

there are a whole lot of useless threads, but they are not all started by the same person. if you add halos useless threads to all the other nonsense threads it clogs the board. at least by getting rid of halos consistent stupid threads, there will be some decluttering.

I think whats different is that Howard rarely starts thread and most of them are good when he does start them. A few meaningless posts here and there is fine.
