Is it ever possible to get more conditioned than this on stage?

How is it that modern bodybuilders just don't seem to have the same conditioning as the guys in the 90's.

Is it mainly drugs or just diet?

Incredibly gay music.  Richard  simmons would cringe if he heard it. Phil comes in similar shape. Dorian and muenzer were standard bearers. One is dead other was a freak. I also think most today overdo slin for size and use dnp to cut fat but that is pure speculation.

Shawn was actually better in 92/93/94 he was sharper. It's insulin and the fear of diuretics

I have seen a few posing routines to the same track over the years. I think everyone just wants to be like Shaun but that physique was simply incredible.
I don't think I have seen anything like it since that comes close to being as aesthetic.

94 and maybe 90 were his best shouts. Not an expert on those eras. I think shawn said Labrada should've won 90 when they tested  ???

Great bodybuilder, one of the last who stuck to the original ideals of bodybuilding - that it is an artistic expression of what the human form should be. Problem was, judging criteria don't allow for that and size + condition were more objective factors. How can you give a 225lb conditioned guy the O ahead of a 260lb ultra shredded guy?

The judging criteria are the problems.

What is the rationale behind that though? It would be like porking yourself. The natural instinct is to go for what you do not have (ie. the opposite sex).

I've said this before but besides the gh & slin a lot of it has to due with digital vs film. Film has a lot more grain than digital so that adds to the detail and sharpness.

The 90s guys are all captured by film(both video and pictures)

Digital is better than film in a lot of ways but there's a certain look and detail captured with film that can't yet be reproduced with digital. In the film industry many top directors are saving film from extinction - even tho its more expensive and time consuming - for this very reason I speak of.

Plus, when you have a shitty quality conversion of film uploaded to youtube with a lot of noise(its like grain) and grain like I said...things will seem more detailed.
