This is how the people of Ferguson greeted the Missouri Highway Patrol.  :)

The Missouri Highway Patrol seized control of Ferguson, stripping the local police of their law-enforcement authority after 4 days of clashes between cops in riot gear, and furious crowds protesting the death of Michael Brown, and residents welcomed them

Community policing starts with being amongst the community... interacting with them,
...not pointing guns at them growling "I'M GOING TO KILL YOU" like Officer GoFuckYourself.

Give people someone worthy of looking up to, admiring and respecting, ...and they will.
Give them someone worthy of hating, ...and they will do that too.

The photo you posted is clearly representative of the protesters. ::)

It was all hugging and healing.
The looting, the gunfire, the savagery= isolated incidents hyped up by the media (even though the media supports the protesters and has already determined the cop is guilty).

Nothing to see here.

Bump for Jag.

My thread was a reference to how the people responded to the Missouri Hwy. Patrol,
not how the thugs reacted to the Ferguson PD.

Hmmmmm... The photograph of Jag at the protest has mysteriously disappeared.
