yep, had a double life.  

The people who knew him as Forrest Carter never knew a thing about his past

I know he wrote the book on which the screenplay was based but not sure if he wrote the screenplay as well

yep, had a double life.  

The people who knew him as Forrest Carter never knew a thing about his past

I know he wrote the book on which the screenplay was based but now sure if he wrote the screenplay as well

the first ever American Booksellers Association Book of the Year (ABBY) award.

What's crazy is that this guy was a high profile white supremacist, klu klux klan guy and managed to keep all of that hidden.

It's a well made documentary and a fascinating story and worth the time ( ~ 1 hour) to watch it.
It came out last year on public television but I couldn't find it online at that time
