However, her competition is lightweight to say the least.

No Graf, Seles, etc. No real competition at all.

It reminds me of when Larry Holmes was heavyweight champion of the world. Nobody was a threat. Had an inflated record fighting tomato cans.

In the end, he couldn't even handle blown-up light-heavyweight Michael Spinks.

Serena is the same. The lack of competition makes her look a lot better than she is.

People don't like to talk about this, but......

It's kind of like how Michael Jordan completely shat on the NBA during the 90's.  All the great dynasties had gotten old and broken up before Chicago started winning.  His Bulls were great but the teams they were facing in the Finals were mediocre at best.  Jordan was a great, great player by anyone's standard but I don't get all giddy about his 6 rings like everyone else does.  Magic and Bird had some giant hurdles to climb when they won their chips.  They were playing against legendary teams that won multiple rings of their own.  The Bulls, not so much.
