I wouldn;t mind watching mayweather fight porter or thurman. if mayweather fought lara you might as well watch a marathon on TV instead. Khan might not be a bad fight but does khan have enough punching power to keep floyd honest? I know Khan has speed. maybe a peak khan 3 years ago would of had a better shot. Khan almost finished maidaina in 1 round but maidana came back in the late 8th or 9th round and was knocking Khan senseless. I still can't believe Khan made it through that fight(maidana had khan on quer street for a few rounds.

Wrong fight, bud.  Watch Lara vs Wiliams or Trout.  FMW isn't a pressure fighter like Angulo and Canelo (more boxer/puncher but presses).  As far as canelo, he may have been trying to prove his style was a superior which it was by a mile if you want to call it running but the ring is enclosed so where can one run too?  He fucks FMW with the left from distance like trout.  No worries because FMW sr will say he's too big for lil fmw like they did with paul williams or they'll jump on the ppv train like fmw's cousin did with thurman.  it's amazing they had no issues with guerrero being a mandatory, JUMPED AT IT, even though he has no real mexican base like ortiz.  then, add on top guerrero and maidana said fuck no to a thurman fight.  even porter's father, kenny, said no to thurman.

khan and brook won't fight because of the knife injury but if brook had defeated khan fmw would not fight brook either.

lets put this in terms.  when someone said fight bradley, fmw's bitch ass cousin said devin alexander was a better selection  ???.  porter is nothing more than a bull rush faster, no boxing skills, which brook exposed big time.

it's amazing how people don't want to accept fmw hand picking his way to 50-0.  maidana is and has always been a B slugger.

btw, ppv numbers won't be good again but he'll make up the numbers for showtime with khan because euros will eat up that bullshit fight.  look at the landscape of 147. how the fuck do khan and maidana become the #1 and #2 contenders in the division?

just another thing, you'd have to look at the tale of the tape but i think judah is the only 147 with equal reach to fmw.  lara arms are 5'' longer, so he hits fmw from distance like he did paul williams.  correct me if i'm wrong but the shell is best optimize when you are baited into pocket for a counter right..

correction

fmw 72
lara 75
william 77
judah 72

maidana tapped fmw in the 3rd but bk stepped in and didn't let him finish the round.

khan and another can and retirement with his fraudulent 49-0 record.

maidana's personal horse punchers gloves on that shot vs having to use fmw's orthopedic padded gloves  ???

He is the ultimate fraud/cherry picker.  Which is a shame because he is good enough to have become great.  If he doesn't fight Manny next year, Thurman, Khan and Brook are the only acceptable opponents at welterweight.

At 154 it's got to be Andrade, Lara, Kirkland or Canelo again.

At 160, I'd settle for Quillen.  No interest in a Cotto rematch.  We all know he won't get withing 5 zip codes of GGG.

Just tired of Floyd picking slow handed opponents to fight. No one can say he's not a great fighter but his legacy will be that he picked his opponents. I can't believe he still makes the money he does. He does follow a formula. Pump up the credentials of his opponent and make sure they are a slow handed puncher. Mexico is dying for a welterweight fighter that can beat him so it really pumps up interest in Mexico and California.

A real champ ducks no one.

Didn't watch the fight, but I heard as usual Mayweather knocked the crowd into unconsciousness.

Thurman, Khan and Brook

At 154 it's got to be Andrade, Lara, Kirkland or Canelo again.

At 160, I'd settle for Quillen.  No interest in a Cotto rematch.  We all know he won't get withing 5 zip codes of GGG.

147 - Khan is the fraud of your group, was the other choice on his twitter contest.  You need Khan to fight Thurman or Brook but he will fight Lopez, hold and peddle to a SD/UD, so he doesn't get beat again by April/May.  Gayfeather taps Khan Job next year and the fight turns into laughter.

154 - He got the WBA (Sulaiman's Son) and Haymon to put his 154 mandatory with 10oz gloves (they went back to 8oz padded gloves of his choice for the fight though.) on the line in the Maidana fight.  Lara is the WBC champ, and his belt wasn't on the line in the Canelo robbbery, so he is the unification or mandatory, but FMW would have had an option of picking two weaker 154s in a tournament.  Anyway, it don't matter b/c he doesn't have an 154 mandatory for 18 months or so now.

160 - The best 160s run about 6'0 in the Paul Williams range, who FMW Sr said was too big.  Outside of Cotto 2, it ain't happening.

The only way I see Manny is if ShowTime has a clause in their contract.  If  they are paying him 250M, then as a corporation, they profit no less 250-500M from the contract.  Khan is a revenue grab b/c of the Euro connection, and Manny brings the Asians like Canelo brought the Mexicans.  FMW can only sell 900k or less PPVs without them.  I guess his following isn't as strong as he sings about.  Maidana PPV 2 will be a joke again, and they won't release the numbers.

Khan in April/May
or
2 fight Pack with Manny by order of ShowTime

He's not his own boss.

BTW, he got a standard $32M for each of the Maidana fights.  No big PPV numbers, no bonus money.  He milked the causal fight crowd with two trash fights. You can say the same about Guerrero and Ortiz.
