Now I don't take them lightly because they are obviously evil but that doesn't make them unstoppable or worthy of mass fear.

That was a civil war that you didn't know who the enemy was. The north infiltrated the South army. Which Vietnamese were you trying to kill? If we accomplished anything the Communist knew we wouldn't roll over when they wanted to grab more countries.

Make no mistake about it. The US has the best military on earth. If the polictisions wanted to let go of the reigns it would be devastating for any country on earth to deal with.
