Don Spirit, 51, reportedly gunned down daughter Sarah Spirit, 28, and her six children inside a Bell home. The Thursday afternoon incident began as a domestic dispute but quickly turned tragic, according to the source, who declined to be named.
"It started out as a family dispute and escalated," said the source.
It is not clear what started the argument, but it ended with the shooter killing six children, the other adult and then himself, the source said.
