FDA looking to make it harder to get testosterone

To any getbiggers that use TRT - Is this bolded part correct?

THURSDAY, Sept. 18, 2014 (HealthDay News) -- There is little evidence that testosterone replacement therapy effectively treats normally sagging levels of the hormone in aging American males, a U.S. Food and Drug Administration advisory panel said Wednesday.

The panel, from two key FDA committees, overwhelmingly voted, 20-1, to tighten use of the popular drugs and require drug makers to conduct tests assessing the drugs' risk of heart attack and stroke, according to Bloomberg News.

"The whole idea is to try to rein in the inappropriate advertising and use of these drugs," Dr. Michael Domanski, a panel member who is director of heart failure research at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City, told The New York Times.

The FDA is not required to follow the recommendations of its expert panels, but usually does.

Along with sharply curtailing how many men might be prescribed testosterone supplements, insurance companies could also limit coverage for their use if the FDA follows its panel's advice, experts told the Times.

In what has become known as the Low-T fad, Baby Boom generation men have turned to testosterone replacement therapy in response to the sagging muscles, lower energy levels and sexual problems that often accompany natural aging, the FDA noted in a review provided to committee members in advance of the meeting.

they are right. Being healthy means eating and training properly without any artificial , non required drug use.

Steroids hgh etc were developped for cattle and ill people. They were not intended for cosmetic purpose or because someone has small dick/man syndrom and needs to feel bigger than he truly is, often cause he s unconfortable with his socio professionnal position.

Wonder why they don't run studies on cigarettes and liquor to see how many more people these kill per month than all steroid related deaths in history combined.

Interesting as the FDA testified in front of Congress when it was about to make steroids Schedule 3 and advised against it. Politics, politics, politics. My guess is that it is more political theater designed to placate the masses who live in fear of 'roid raging NFL players.

Now they're falsifying studies. Making it harder to get test but easier and easier to get weed. What bunch of backwards dumbasses we have running our country.

Uh, wat.....

Of course it treats sagging hormone levels.

I had the levels of an 80 yr old man thanks to periods of rec drug abuse. I was depressed, moody, felt lethargic and like shit all the time. My wife told me i acted like a woman.

My doc took a little persuading, because theyre still in the 'low normal range', even though low normal is for an fuckn EIGHTY YEAR OLD.

Anyway, doc prescribed 200mg cyp e10days, and its turned my life around. Mood is better, and constistent, finally was able to get back in shape, lethargy went away, sex drive came back.... i actually feel like i should again rather than fweling 80 at 29.

This is fucing bullshit, the FDA has no right to fuck with legit medical doctors prescribing legit medication for medical conditions....

I guess they feel like their steroid laws are getting slapped in the face and they cant appear stupid, cause hormones are bad, mmkay.

Idiots.
