Phil will be very smart to focus on the "supplement game" and go out on top. I said it the minute he walked out onto the Olympia stage... this could be it. nobody has caught him (yet), but he's peaked and the decline is coming fast.
Give it another year of stress - and running your own business is VERY VERY stressful - and hit body is going to age a great deal. it's a fun idea to "Start my own supplement company!" but doing it while you're trying to fight aging, fight the problems that come with prolonged use (bigger belly and shrinking arms are obvious now)... it's TOUGH!
This will be the toughest year of Phil's bodybuilding career. He's touchable now, and he'll soon realize that competing and getting 4th at the 2015 Olympia drops his company's value a TON... while retiring "ON TOP" to "focus on bringing this amazing supplement to the world!" might be the better move. The toughest thing for an athlete is to realize when the best time to retire, in order to go out on top... in order to maximize post-competition value.
If Ronnie retires with win #8, he's the greatest ever. Coming back to lose to "Jay" and then a pith 4th... not good moves.
