He's harnessing the strength of Kai, overcoming insurmountable odds...He believes he can break those handcuffs...

But, like Kai, he has failed in his quest.

In the 70 there was a bodybuilder named Mike Dayton who toured with his strong man act. He did a lot of insane stuff like surviving hangings. One part of his act was breaking police handcuffs. He won the wrist roll on the World's Strongest Man in 1977 I believe.  One stunt didn't work out for him so well. He jumped off a bridge and he never checked the depth of the water. It was low and he shattered his leg in pieces.

Remember watching a series about American prison life and in one episode, the policeman said that there is one inmate who is very difficult to control since he can easily snap a pair of handcuffs and has also torn his way out of a strait jacket and even an anti-suicide blanket.

Luckily for them, Josh escaped and is no longer a threat  ;D

Cannot imagine the feeling of restriction being in a straight jacket, that'd probably send me in a blind panic.

Mike and I are friends and trained together many times. He taught me to tear license plates, decks of playing cards, phone books, break baseball bats, etc. phenomenal grip strength.    The broken leg thing?  That's a strange, interesting story...
