Hey, if they want to do an enlistment or 2 in a combat unit and can speak English, im all for them receiving citizenship upon honorable discharge.

I served several years in the US military a couple of decades back. It might have made life a little easier if illegals had been brought in to do the hard stuff, cook up some good Mexican chow, make our beds and clean up around our quarters, etc.

They'd come in handy to catch most of the bullets in war too, I imagine - "boots on the ground" right there!

When i was still am active Marine, we had several anchor baby hispanic kids that barely spoke english, but who desperatley wanted to serve their country... it was almost inspiring, their attitudes were far better than some of the spoiled kids whos families have been citizens for generations.

When i was still am active Marine, we had several anchor baby hispanic kids that barely spoke english, but who desperatley wanted to serve their country... it was almost inspiring, their attitudes were far better than some of the spoiled kids whos families have been citizens for generations.

Illegals have been allowed to serve in the military since the Civil War you fucking idiot.  People from Ireland would come straight off the boat and be handed papers to fight for the union.  That's always been the case and they are screened and their backgrounds are checked throughly before they ever set foot on a military facility.
