I thought long & hard about this before posting it. However, I WOULDN'T BE MUCH of a person if I didnt educate and communicate some awareness. As well, we have had too many victims by this company... Its important to create an awareness for everyone!
Every so often a company / person comes along and thinks their smarter then the rest.......makes false promises.......and attempts to victimize some within the industry because they think they can! Guess what....your wrong DUMB ASS!
For about a year or so, Gear Nutra has obviously had some financial issues( assuming) because they haven't reimbursed theirs athletes, IFBB Pros who have had to pay for multiple travel expenses ahead of time etc. Yes you have heard it right.... for a very long period of time......many athletes have never been reimbursed!! Also, contracted advertisement with multiple media outlets and agreements with some promoters have not been paid. Yes I happened to be one of them. However, the money, small in nature, isnt my issue but how they have chosen to continue to operate, continue to make false promises, and still go to Las Vegas and have an Olympia party!!! WOW!
So in closing Pete.... I look forward in following up with you!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope everyone reading this will do the right thing and support GREAT nutrition company's out there that do it the right way because there are so many that do. For the ones that do.........I thank you and our industry does as well!

Let’s clear up a few things please. First off GEAR is a brand new startup company in a very very crowded space. Startup companies in general have a 90% failure rate. Startup companies in the supplement industry probably 99%. GEAR has only begun sales 3 months ago. GEAR has not made one single penny of profit to date. Did management over commit to its marketing campaign and athlete signings banking on sales making it sustainable? absolutely! Should they have crawled before flat out sprinting? Absolutely! Was that a mistake? Absolutely! Does that mean GEAR is flooded with cash and decided they chose not fulfill their marketing obligations? Absolutely NOT? Did GEAR set out as you claim to “victimize” the industry? That’s utterly ludicrous! Did the company set out and plan to hire all their athletes to somehow use them and then decide not to pay them because they didn’t feel like? Again totally ludicrous!!! Has the company made promises to their athletes that didn’t come to fruition due to things on their end not coming through? Yes it has! So let’s not try and paint a picture that the industry GIANT GEAR has decided to pocket all their massive profits and forego paying any of their obligations—that couldn’t be farther from the truth. Facts are GEAR is a brand new startup company , that over spent on its initial marketing platform, sales are not yet strong enough to sustain the company overhead and has caused a shortfall in operating capital—same story as probably 10,000 start up companies in the last year.
Olympia after party?—was a charity event for the MDA that was committed to 6 months ago. Notice no one from management was in attendance but the commitment to MDA was honored.
The company is fully committed to bring all obligations to its athletes and marketing partners current in very short order. Currently we have outstanding balances due to Steve Blechman at MD, Jim Manion for NPC News Online and JM Manion of FMG for his athletes we had under contract. They will all be paid in full and we are beyond grateful to all of them for their support as industry leaders in helping introduce the GEAR brand to the industry. Management feels beyond horrible for the stress and difficulties it’s caused it athletes. They are all very hard working and great people and didn’t deserve for one second to be exposed how they’ve been. For that the company extends its most sincere apologies. If any companies out there want some of the best up and coming and honorable athletes out there please take a very serious look at the group that represented GEAR they are top notch and will represent your company well.
Any other questions of what has transpired, whose owed what money and why we over spent to begin with feel free to ask. GEAR is an open book with zero to hide. Although we deeply regret that things have gotten to this point we firmly stand behind the products we are bringing to the public and will continue to do so and can only hope that through this we can gain back support and trust in the GEAR brand. We are trying our best to make it in a very tough industry!!!
