That it was and most likely still is.  I have not been there in quite some time.  Might have to make a pilgrimage of sorts in the near future but I don't know that I am ready for that right now.  I already feel old enough.

Be well, young lady.
I have been to Venice and I was scared at first. Then I got used to it and relaxed .  ;D

Understood.  My very first time there I "insulted Ken Waller.  What a great guy he was!  He truly did have a fantastic sense of humor and made a skinny kid feel right at  home in the original Gold"'s.  I will never forget his kindness toward me that first visit to the gym.

I know.  I regret never meeting Steve Reeves when I had the chance as he lived not too far from me.

Have a good day/evening (I can never remember what time or day it is down under) young lady.  I must try and rest now.

When the time arrives for you to rest,  sleep well, sleep warm.

I would regret meeting Steve Reeves also. It's after noon  here... I am 12 hours ahead of you. Thank you sweetie and sleep/rest well.

Oh you mean Real things to do?  Like Tourist SHIT? Lets see, all stuff below i have done several times and would recommend

Grauman's Chinese Theatre in hollywood see the Foot and hand cement blocks

if you can afford Go shopping on Rodeo drive in beverly hills

Workout at the Santa Monica Stairs

Take a Drive down PCH and hit up all the beaches newport beach, huntington Beach,  Seal Beach,  Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, Venice Beach, Santa Monica Pier,  Malibu Beach

Get a Day pass and workout at the Venice Beach Gym and then pose down in front of the crowed on the permanent Stage they have there

Check out the Venice Canals

Check out a dodger game or Lakers game

get a Rattlesnake & Rabbit with Jalapeņo Peppers sausage at worcester

Hit up Pinkys hot dogs, But you may wanna go to the on at universal city walk, its about an hour less of a wait to order

if you have kids take them to the The El Capitan Theatre to watch a cartoon

take a Warner Brother tour , and see the Batman Exhibit

Speed Zone in City of Industry and race some go-carts

Take a hike Up to Hollywood sign

Hike up Runyon Canyon with all the hot bitches

Pool party at Standard Rooftop Bar

Gamble on the Race Horse at Santa Anita race track

have some drinks at The Edison

Yamashiro Hollywood restaurant

wait a few minutes at GOLDS GYM in venice you will always see a Pro or someone Famous go in to workout

Museum of Death in hollywood

space shuttle endeavour at california science center

randys donuts inglewood

I'm with Nails.

When I bring peeps into town I always insist we do the venice canals. It's a beautiful peaceful walk. Most tourists do not know they even exist to this day in I've never seen it crowded.

I def recconend pinks. Can't leave without a dog.

U also would not believe how amazing the la brea tarpit museum is. U can tour it in literally an hour.

If ur a car guy the Peterson auto museum is awesome.

If your snooty the ghetty is awesome.

There's watts tower.

And I love Taking guests to amoeba records.

If u hit graumans go on a Saturday of Friday night. The place jams those nights with entertainment.

If u happen to be there on the first Friday of each month hit venice around seven or 8 pm to hit the huge food truck congregation.

3rd street promenade in Santa monica is really fun on Saturday nights.

Lastly. Hit any Yogurtland. The best frozen yogurt on the planet. A Cali thing which is recently beginning to spread nationwide.

N if that's not enuff tho choose from f u

Outstanding   :o

I've been to L.A a couple times and done the usual boring tourist stuff, but all that looks very cool.

Got it. But alas, I am perfectly imperfect.  I will do as Lone Watie did not and "endeavor to persevere".   ;D

Go to Kitana on Sunset for dinner, order the filet mignon wrapped asparagus, and the bacon wrapped scallops.  then walk across the street to the Sky Bar afterwards.

L.A. was epic. I did almost everything Nails and Slik suggested.
Highlights - going to downtown clubs/bars, I was so drunk I have no idea what they were called.
Did a private tour in a big SUV, that was cool.
Universal Studios, Hardrock Cafe was a good day out.
Caught the bus on wilshire blvd to santa monica - WTF!!! Why did no one tell me to avoid the buses! Ive never been amongst so many crazy people. I could write a book about that ride. Entertaining though.
Rented a house for the week on Manhattan Beach. Cool area, decent views.

First hit Marina Del Rey for Killer Shrimp (GPS it, thank me later). Then get the fuck outta LA and head to Orange County for the real beaches. Then just get drunk at Duke's in Huntington until your plane leaves.

Enjoy your stay.

The traffic alone is enough to make me not want to live there.

u learn to time it. Also tourists get pissed at traffic cuz tourist r doing just that. Touring. Residents can pretty much stay in their little pockets of area n get everything they need in the way of supplies n food n entertainent but just as arnold said wen u want the food it's there, if we want to do anything else we know it's just a short drive n we have access to most things most Americans don't. There's always something going on here.

I love LA!

Care to elaborate?

beautiful women? ::) I sure as fuck don't see it. hit the south  the  women are not only better looking but far more down to earth. An attractive white woman 8/10 or better out here is worshipped out  here, out there she's just the norm.

horrible traffic

cold dirty beaches

expensive

the south is where it's at man.

An attractive white woman 8/10 or better out here is worshipped out  here, out there she's just the norm. This sentence doesnt really make sense to me... are you trying to say that gorgeous women are less common in your podunk shithole, so she is worshipped? Doesnt sound appealing to me.

horrible trafficYes. This is accurate.

cold dirty beaches

Quote
The summer season is long, hot, and humid in Myrtle Beach. Average daytime highs are from 83 to 91 °F (28 to 33 °C) and average night-time lows are near 70 °F (21 °C).

So much for cooling off at the beach right? A disgusting sweaty beach with extreme humidity and funnel cake eating contests no doubt.

expensive

Los Angeles Mean family income: $83,965 Atlanta mean income for a family was $59,711

More expensive? Yes. Is it all relative? Yes.

You make more here, by a long shot.

the south is where it's at man.

Is "it" a steaming pile of shit?

Have a nice visit, see the sights then split. If you like high taxes, 50% non Americans, traffic, bad air, bad attitudes, then get on welfare and food stamps....stand on a corner with a "I will work for food or money" sign scrawled with a crayon on a scrap of cardboard, then stay a while. I stayed 65 years too long.

Haha, I only stayed 15 years too long. Miss training at Gold's and World though.
