I found my dog in a similar condition as the top dog...she was dumped in a field near my house. Lived out there for a month starving and dying. Wouldn't come close to me until one day(probably about to die) it came close and I fed it. It was deathly afraid of people and had probably be been beaten extremely bad. She would cower and cry whenever I attempted to pet her thinking I was gonna strike her.

So glad I saved her...anyone who beats an animal even a cow, pig or chicken should get a death sentence.  These animals are here for us to either sustain life or give happiness.
