Hahaha the washing my hair excuse was not strong enough with a skinhead 

On a serious note though I am looking forward to the fishing, 4 blokes, 2 bivies, couple of crates, cooked english 3 x a day 

3 lakes, Big carp in one, specimen in other and small lake mostly silverfish - hoping for a PB (27 pound mirror my best)

fishing is very good for the soul

as a troubled youngster I used to go trout fishing

for like 16 hours on my own

really helped calm the soul

Loads of lovely little rivers in Essex, sometimes I'll just pack a small rucksack and a telescopic rod and fish for the day.

Got permission from a local farmer to fish his pond near where I live a few years ago.

Just me , no one else.

Great stuff man.

It's not even about how many/how big the fish are. I love knowing that you've got your depth 100% correct, and bait presentation etc and just flicking out a cast knowing that you're getting a strike within seconds 

Some of the most enjoyable fishing i've had is catching wild tench in the canal
