Just looking at them posing in that still you can see what a big pile of steaming shit this will be. They couldn't even get part 2 right with the original iconic cast, this was doomed as soon as it was greenlit

I'm 46, so I saw the original in the theatre, motivated by its "big hit" buzz.

Unlike a great many, I hated it. Found it boring and dramatically unfunny.

(I absolutely believe the title song and its accompanying video made this movie. Both were triumphant successes. This plus the iconic logo. Folks were snowballed with these into believing the movie was actually good.)

In the intervening years I have kept it on at times when seeing it on TV. Still a royal stinker.

This re-do/retelling/whatever is gonna bring the original suck to a whole new level.

Twenty-five grand at the box office on opening weekend. Soon after to DVD/blu-ray in some "collector's box".

Oh, brother.
