According to latest reports from leading news agencies, famed evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins is dead. His body was found in his garage by his wife earlier today. Dawkins was an atheist, a vice president of the British Humanist Association, and a supporter of the Brights movement. He came to prominence with his 1976 book The Selfish Gene, which popularised the gene-centred view of evolution. Police statements indicate that foul play is not suspected in the death of the former University of Oxford professor. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics responding to the vehicle accident and was identified by photo ID found on his body.
