I just bought a green wing macaw baby. I get to pick her up once they wean her. Amazing animal, intelligent, playful, loyal.
Thats a lifelong commitment for sure. She will be attached to you for life and may outlive you.
my wife and i decided on the parrot instead of a 2nd child.she probably will outlive me. Ive always had birds, and my last one, a Jenday Conure just got lost when my son opened the front door and the bird went out while trying to land on my son. Sad loss. This bird were going to work on training free flight so we dont have to worry about losing her the same way.
